  1. I see a pastel and I wanted it painted black.
No colours anymore, I want them to turn black.

Earlier, I commented on blades in B5, with a special mention of Gil Hibben. B5 also features numerous examples of “alien” blades that are simply unusual human blades. The Drazi knives, for example (with the horizontal grip) are a South Asian push dagger called a katar. In today’s episode, the Centauri assassins carry a wide-bladed short sword that is an Italian design called a cinquedea, although the blade was smoother than is typical. Most cinquedea have a set of fullers, though the smoother blade that we saw is no unheard of.

  2. This is my biggest disappointment with Babylon 5 – why start such a significant storyline for the Centauri so late in the series, especially when it wouldn’t be finished. This story should have started much earlier in the season, if not the series. Given all the time wasted setting up the telepath story, this should have been the primary story in season 5.
