Zocalo: Spoiler-free Discussion of “Eyes”

OK, let’s run down all of the previous episodes cited in “Eyes”: “Midnight on the Firing Line,” “Mind War,” “The War Prayer,” “And the Sky Full of Stars,” “Deathwalker,” “Survivors” and “By Any Means Necessary.” Did we miss anything? And, oh, by the way, through all of that: what did you think of the story? No spoilers for future episodes!

    1. YES! The moment he opened his mouth, I could only think of Douglas Reynholm from The It Crowd: “Faaaaaaather!” 😀
      Awesome

  1. One thing I wondered really quickly was this: Garibaldi calls a guy named “Ari Ben Zayn,” who fought on New Jerusalem, “Bin Hitler” and nobody says anything? I mean, wow. Nothing even on the Lurker’s Guide! Clearly, by 2258, Hitler’s name is still a catchword for “bad guy” and “dictator,” but is the Shoah presupposed to be so completely distant?

    1. Wow. Given the fact I never caught that–and totally should have–I guess it’s very believable that centuries later Garibaldi would say such a thing.

It’s actually in character but in retrospect as a scriptwriter I wouldn’t have gone there.

      1. I second what Chip said. I didn’t even notice that! I’d like to blame it on the fact that I was furiously taking notes, but it very well might’ve slid right past me. Yikes.
