I really enjoyed your discussion of this episode. It made me appreciate it much more. After watching it, I hated everyone except Sean, the child & Sinclair (Sinclair was the only person who asked Sean what he wanted.)
Though I’ve seen the last 4 seasons of Babylon 5, I never saw this 1st season. Seeing it, I am hating the main characters more and more. (That everyone – G’kar, Londo, Delenn – all refused to help, but didn’t have the guts to say it outright, was very insulting) I’m not sure I would have continued to watch if this was my first exposure to Babylon 5. That being said, I see where the doctors’ arrogance is being set up.
