What happens when a sci-fi show that has made it to the last of its planned seasons lands one of the hottest writers in comics to pen an episode?

As part of our ongoing discussion of crediting actors, I noticed that, unlike earlier episodes with surprise appearances, the three returning characters tonight were all credited in the closing titles rather than in the opening minutes of the episode. I guess it was unlikely that nuBSG was the first time it occurred to anyone to hide a surprise appearance by putting a highly-billed guest star prominently in the closing credits.
Watching the episodes in the Lurkers order rather than original airing, I actually think that moving this episode earlier works well for Lochley. The character hasn’t done much at all until now, and the only background we got was the short marriage to Sheridan. Much better to give the character a solid episode relatively early on.
